Welcome to SlopLord ("we," "us," or "our"). By using our service at sloplord.io, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SlopLord, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. By using SlopLord, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. Description of Service

SlopLord is a subscription-based SaaS platform that generates short-form promotional videos from product descriptions and related inputs. The platform uses artificial intelligence and third-party APIs to produce video content automatically.

Key features include:

  • Automated script generation based on your product details
  • AI voiceover, stock footage, GIF integration, and caption overlay
  • Batch video generation and progress tracking
  • User b-roll and demo video upload

3. Accounts & Authentication

3.1 Google Sign-In

You must sign in using a valid Google account. When you sign in, we receive your email address and name from Google. We use this information solely to create and manage your account. We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, or any other Google services.

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Ensuring the accuracy of the information you provide
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

You may not share your account access with others or allow multiple users to share a single account.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

4.1 Plans

We offer monthly subscription plans with tiered video generation limits. The current plans and their limits are displayed on our pricing page and during checkout.

4.2 Free Trial

New users receive one free video generation without requiring payment. No credit card is required for the trial.

4.3 Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance at the rate shown during checkout
  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store or handle your credit card details
  • Your subscription automatically renews each billing period unless you cancel
  • You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods or unused videos
  • If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry. After multiple failed attempts, your access may be suspended

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period — they apply at the next renewal.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use SlopLord for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations. Specifically, you may not:

  • Generate content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, abusive, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to access, modify, or damage our systems, data, or infrastructure
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our service
  • Use the service to distribute malware, spam, phishing content, or harmful code
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its underlying infrastructure
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or free trial restrictions
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to interact with the service without our express permission

6. User Content

6.1 Your Ownership

You retain all rights to the content you provide (product descriptions, uploaded videos, images) and the videos generated for you. We claim no ownership over your content.

6.2 License to Us

By using our service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit your content solely to provide the service. This includes transmitting content to third-party APIs (Deepseek, Pexels, Klipy, Reddit) as necessary for video generation.

6.3 Your Warranties

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to any content you upload
  • Your content does not violate any third-party rights
  • Your use of generated videos complies with applicable laws

6.4 Content Moderation

We reserve the right to refuse, remove, or suspend access to any content that violates these terms or is otherwise objectionable, without prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our IP

The SlopLord platform, including its software, algorithms, branding, logos, and user interface, is our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our service without our written consent.

7.2 Third-Party Content

Generated videos may incorporate stock footage (via Pexels), GIFs (via Klipy), AI-generated voiceover, and other third-party content. Use of these elements is subject to the respective third-party licenses. You are responsible for ensuring your use of generated videos complies with those licenses.

8. Third-Party Services

SlopLord integrates with the following third-party services to function:

  • Google — authentication via Google Sign-In
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
  • Deepseek — AI script generation
  • AI Voiceover — AI-generated voiceover
  • Pexels — stock video background footage
  • Klipy — reaction GIF search and embedding
  • Reddit — social proof content sourcing
  • Resend — transactional email delivery

We are not responsible for the availability, reliability, or content of third-party services. Each service operates under its own terms and privacy policy.

9. Data & Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

SlopLord is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Generated videos will meet your specific requirements or expectations
  • Any errors or defects will be corrected
  • The quality of generated content will be consistent across all use cases

We expressly disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SlopLord and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SlopLord and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the service in violation of these terms
  • Your content that infringes any third-party rights
  • Your violation of applicable laws or regulations

13. Termination

13.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time from your profile page. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

13.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service immediately without prior notice if:

  • You violate these terms (including acceptable use policies)
  • Your payment fails and remains unpaid
  • We are required to do so by law
  • We discontinue the service (with reasonable notice where possible)

13.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your access to the service ceases. We may retain your data for up to 30 days following termination to allow for data export. After that period, your data may be deleted.

14. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

14.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at boss@sloplord.io and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days.

14.2 Arbitration

Any dispute arising from these terms shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration. There is no judge or jury in arbitration. You agree that:

  • Arbitration shall be conducted in English
  • The arbitration shall be administered by a mutually agreed arbitrator
  • Each party bears its own costs
  • You may not bring claims on a class-wide or representative basis

14.3 Exceptions

Either party may bring individual claims in small claims court if they qualify. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in court for intellectual property violations.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. Any legal action not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Hong Kong.

16. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SlopLord regarding your use of the service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
